Our award-winning competitive dance team is for dancers ages 5-18 who want to focus more seriously on their dance training. Our rigorous competitive training program is designed to help dancers reach their full potential, all in an encouraging and nurturing team-based dance studio environment.

General Information
HCDC competitive students are exposed to numerous performance opportunities throughout the year. This includes attending regional and national competitions, conventions, auditions and master classes each year located throughout South Carolina and bordering states.
Although there is a competitive element to these events, we like to encourage our students to center their focus around personal growth and teamwork throughout the season. At the end of the day, dance is subjective and you are simply receiving the opinions of 3 judges. The individual growth we see in our dancers from one season to the next is remarkable.
The Teams
Our competitive team gives dancers the freedom to build their competitive schedule to best suit the styles of dance they want to focus more intensely on. Whether a student is looking to compete one routine or ten routines, we have an option for you. All classes take place at our studio located on Daniel Island.
